Being stuck in lockdown is difficult for everyone, especially when you can’t do the things you’d usually do with your free time, e.g. bird watching. But there is so much to learn from encouraging garden birds to come to you, and improving your wellbeing in doing so.

A reflection on what nature reserves mean to me, and how important they are for humans and nature alike.

On January 3rd 2020, I travelled to Elmley Marsh in North Kent in search of a very special bird, whilst enduring the weather and getting a shocking surprise along the way.
